Purpose: The purpose of this WebQuest is to research different perspectives on war and develop our own, personal perspectives on the topic.
Requirements:
1. You
will read a total of eight selections/articles. In each of the first
four steps of this WebQuest you
will
be asked to read two different selections/articles from two different web
sites.
2. You
will complete a total of eight Reading Summary Worksheets. After
you have read each
selection/article,
you will complete a Reading Summary Worksheet.
Your answers can either be
hand-written
or typed, as long as they are legible and well-edited.
3. You
will write a poem and analyze it. During the fifth and final step
of the WebQuest, you will write a
poem
based on your own, personal perspective on war. Your poem must be typed
and well-edited.
Your
analysis of your poem should include a description of your theme and a
description of the
poetry
conventions that you used.
Once you have completed the WebQuest, all of these items should be stapled together and turned in on or before the deadline stated in class. If you do not already have one, make sure you print a copy of the WebQuest Checklist and staple it to the front of your completed WebQuest packet.
Grading:
This assignment is worth a total of 100 points.
